Emma turned 2 on June 22. We celebrated by eating dinner at McDonalds, playing with Auntie Mal in the Play Place, then coming home for presents and cake. We can't believe our "baby" is a two-year-old already!

Emma showing Paige the ropes...
Emma shows Paige the birdy, froggy, and sun and tells her to "turn around."
jumparoo #1
Just to show how much bigger Paige is than Emma was, Emma was in this when she was 6 months old and she needed a pillow underneath her feet so she could touch. Paige is only 4 months old!

CT Trip 2010
CT Trip 2010, originally uploaded by bosox026.
We all drove down to Connecticut with Grandma and Grandpa Lieberg and Gram for Pawp's memorial luncheon and to visit with friends and family. We had a lot of fun but we are in no hurry to take on another road trip with two children under the age of two any time soon!
memorial luncheon for Pawp
We had a nice time remembering Pawp and meeting up with many of his former co-workers, family, and friends.
Beardsley Zoo, CT
This zoo was cute and very hands-on. We spent the afternoon there and had a great time!
First time on merry-go-round

The zoo had a merry-go-round and Emma loved it!
DC Trip
We took a whirlwind tour of Washington, D.C. with just Paige. This is Paige in our hotel room. Emma stayed home with Grandma. We had a nice time and hope to go back again soon!
Capitol tour
I wrote to Congressman LaTourette and one of his pages took us on a personal tour of the Capitol. It was one of the highlights of the trip!
plaque
This plaque listed all the names of the people who perished on Flight 93, whose passengers' heroic acts essentially saved the Capitol from being hit by the plane.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
We went to look for the name of one of Allen's friends from high school. There are over 60,000 names engraved onto the wall.
cast of Abe Lincoln
This was so cool! His hands are clenched on a broomstick because the day before he had shaken so many hands that his right hand was swollen and shaking and he had to hold onto something.
